Sleep Event Monitoring
Sleep disturbance is common following surgery, yet quality sleep is important to the body’s healing and recovery process. EchoCare’s monitors are capable of identifying and characterizing restlessness, sleep deprivation and chronic apnea, as well as incidents of vacating the bed for bathroom visits, night wandering, etc.
Respiratory Monitoring
General anesthesia and surgery are known contributors to post-procedural respiratory complications. At-home healthcare providers can remotely monitor the respiratory rate, inhale/exhale duration, hyperventilation or apnea using EchoCare’s device. By evaluating breathing, care givers are better able to anticipate progress and regression, as well as potential complications in the heart.
Long-term Condition Monitoring
EchoCare’s device is ideal for remote home-care of patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The system monitors, analyzes and indicates the patient’s respiratory condition, heart rate and additional behavioral information to support the physician’s remote decision making. The sensor can monitor the full body and the area around the bed and bedroom and can provide medical professionals with critical indicators of decline, even before the patient is aware of any change.
Aging-in-Place Monitoring
With aging-at-home on the rise, EchoCare’s remote monitoring system is more important than ever. The system helps senior care providers and/or caregivers to monitor Seniors’ activities of daily living (ADL), automatically detects and alerts to various emergencies and abnormal situations, and identifies need for early intervention.
Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Analysis
ADL is a major indicator of wellness, as well as decline in an individual’s health and/or faculties. EchoCare’s monitoring system learns a person’s physical activity, home usage and walking profile – without cameras or a complicated network of sensors – and recognizes changes that might be identified as health deterioration and worthy of evaluation by a healthcare professional.
